Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. December 1915. Continuation of Turkish trenches on Chessboard, on the left of Pope's Hill. Kilid Bahr Plateau is in the distance. The Narrows ran between Kilid Bahr and the distant hills, but the water was never visible from Anzac.
