Description
Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. November 1915. Table Top, a steep hill 500 feet high, is one mile and a half up this gully. Mounted Rifles had seized this hill by midnight. The western side, up which the attack was made, is shown. A Turkish flare caught the men in its brilliant light half way up, but they were not seen. The officer in the foreground is Colonel Meldrum.
