Description

At Sea, Turkey. 6 October 1915. The battleship, HMS Glory, 20 years old, is firing her guns for the first time. She was bombarding a Turkish work, known as the Pimple, on the summit of the hills to the right where her shells can be seen bursting. This scene was taken by Mr Bean (C. E. W.), from Lala Baba, where, with Mr Lawrence, Reuter's correspondent, he was hospitably entertained by the 2nd Mounted Division whilst under arrest.
