Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 15 December 1915. The Turks, noticing some activity on North Beach, began to try the range of the piers which were just hidden. In the foreground, a little to the left, a shell is seen bursting over Air Burnu. This fire was directed at the Milo, whose masts could be seen from Snipers' Nest.
