Turkish trenches on Sniper's Ridge near where the Turkish were attacked by the 9th Battalion. The Turks have reinforced the unstable ground with a mud brick retaining wall. Gaba Tepe is seen in the left background. One of a series of photographs taken on the Gallipoli Peninsula under the direction of Captain C E W Bean of the Australian Historical Mission, during the months of February and March, 1919.
