Description

The mouth of Gully Ravine showing Turkish wire fencing, an old British pier and lighter which went ashore on the night of the evacuation. An unidentified member of the Australian Historical Mission is in the foreground. One of a series of photographs taken on the Gallipoli Peninsula under the direction of Captain C E W Bean of the Australian Historical Mission, during the months of February and March, 1919. This is the second image in a disjointed, poorly composed four part panorama. See G02129P for the combined image.
