Local railway workers' huts beside Taurus railway at Karapunar. Men are walking in the left foreground and two children are sitting on logs in the centre foreground. Australian prisoners of war were also employed for quite some time on the construction of the Taurus Mountain railway. One of a series of photographs taken on the Gallipoli Peninsula and other areas of Turkey under the direction of Captain C E W Bean of the Australian Historical Mission, during the months of February and March, 1919.
