Studio portrait of 4635 Corporal Reuben Wright, 60th Battalion from Templestowe, Victoria. A 25 year old orchardist prior to enlistment on 2 December 1915, he embarked for overseas with the 14th Reinforcements of the 7th Battalion from Melbourne on 28 January 1916 aboard HMAT Themistocles. He was killed in action at Fromelles, France on 19 July 1916 and is commemorated on the VC Corner Australian Cemetery Memorial, Fromelles.
