Portrait of Private (Pte) Walter Benjamin Beaver, Church of England clergyman, of Northcote, Victoria. Pte Beaver enlisted in the 11th Battalion on 5 July 1915 and died of meningitis and toxaemia in the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, on 25 August 1915, aged 37 years.
