Description

Studio portrait of 5163 Private (Pte) Clement Lindsay Martin, 1st Battalion from Conjola, NSW. After arriving in Egypt, he proceeded to France with the battalion only to receive a knee injury that required a period in hospital in England. On 1 January 1917, he rejoined the 1st Battalion in France where he was killed in action at Bullecourt on 5 May 1917.
