Studio portrait of 97 Private (Pte) Stephen Nicholas Flett, 25th Battalion. A labourer from Bendigo, Vic prior to enlistment, Pte Flett embarked with A Company from Brisbane on HMAT Aeneas on 29 June 1915. Shortly after his promotion to Corporal, he was killed in action on 14 November 1916, aged 31, at Somme, France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
