Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant Percy Irvine Haylock Owen, 3rd Battalion from Bellambi, South Coast, NSW. A 25 year old planter prior to enlisting on 13 October 1915, he embarked for overseas with the 7th Reinforcements of the 58th Battalion from Sydney on 3 November 1916 aboard HMAT Afric. He was killed in action near Passchendaele, Belgium on 22 September 1917 and is buried in the Tyne Cot Cemetery, Passchendaele.
