Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Granado Walter Foreman, 5th Battalion. An engineer's assistant from St Kilda, Vic prior to enlistment, Lt Foreman embarked with the 12th Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Ceramic on 23 November 1915. Later transferring to the Royal Flying Corps with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, he was killed in action on 14 July 1917 aged 23, and was buried in the Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
