Description
Group portrait of children and teachers of the school at the Monlonglo Internment Camp, Canberra, ACT. Completed in late 1918 the camp was spread over a 250-acre site, from today's Newcastle Street, Fyshwick, to the Monlonglo River. Seventy-seven children were interned with their parents at the Monlonglo Internment Camp. They attended a six-room school, and were allowed out of the camp grounds when accompanied by teachers for picnics on the banks of the Molonglo River.
