Description
New Britain. The German Naval Yacht Komet which was captured off the north coast of New Britain on 13th October 1914 by the Australian Navy. The yacht was taken to Simpson Harbour and commissioned and armed as HMAS Una to operate in New Guinea waters as a sloop. (Donor Colonel S. McKenzie)
