Description

The Commander in Chief Far Eastern Land Forces (FARELF), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Sir Francis Festing, pays his first visit to Australian troops stationed in Malaya at the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) base at Kuala Kangsar. Here, with his entourage he is inspecting three unidentified soldiers (sitting) as they strip and clean their new Fabrique Nationale (FN) Self Loading Rifles (SLR), after a shoot at the base miniature range.
