Description
Unidentified soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), sit in the sun on a hill top, during a move by the battalion. After a strenuous climb up and down hills carrying heavy packs and weapons, some soldiers are smoking cigarettes while others are talking or simply resting. The soldier sitting on a white cardboard ration box and smoking a cigarette (right), is Corporal L M Young. Next to him on the ground is the load he has carried, which includes bedding and a small wooden table.
