At his farewell speech to British and Dominion troops at Anzac Park, Kure, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Sir Horace Robertson (at the microphone), says goodbye to troops of his Japanese command. Lt Gen Robertson has been Commander in Chief of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) since 1946. Next to Lt Gen Robertson, on his left (obscured) is his successor, Lt Gen W Bridgeford.
