Captain Horney, Captain of the US Aircraft Carrier Bataan, jokes with Vice Admiral Sir John Collins, First Naval Member of the Australian Commonwealth Naval Board, before signing a United Nations flag aboard the Australian destroyer Bataan. The captain of HMAS Bataan, Commander Warwick Seymour Bracegirdle (centre) is looking on. The flag is the property of Leading Signalman Ron Jamieson of Auburn, NSW, who served under Vice Admiral Collins in World War 2.
