Description
Korea. 28 March 1954. A patrol advances through a paddy field in "enemy" territory during full scale manoeuvres conducted by the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), in Korea. All the men are wearing steel helmets with camouflage netting and the leading men are are carrying the standard light infantry firearms of the time. From right to left these are the Owen sub machine carbine, .303 calibre Bren light machine gun and .303 calibre short magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) rifle.
