Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Sydney F Rowell (centre), the Chief of General Staff, Australian Army, is touring Japan and Korea on matters affecting Australian participation in the Korean war. He is meeting with senior officers from the multi-national forces during his trip. During his visit to the Korean front, Lt Gen Rowell visited UNited States I Corps Commanding General, Major General J W O'Daniel. General O'Daniel discussed the tactical situation on the Korean front with General Rowell, and Lt Gen W Bridgeford (left), Commander in Chief of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) and the British Commonwealth Forces Korea (BCFK).
