Australian cities, towns and communities all display the scars of war. Not the scars of battle but rather, the soulful reminders of battles fought in distant lands.
Hawthorn ended up with 3 memorial guns and two naval guns from HMAS Victoria even though there was nothing to indicate an involvement with either the Maori wars , the Crimean Wars or Boxer Rebellion.
