Wilmansrust : the battlefield trials of the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles / Max Chamberlain.
Abstract
The action at Wilmansrust, Transvaal on 12 June 1901 led to accusations of cowardly and mutinous conduct by the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles. They were said to have damaged the reputation of the Australian Soldier, but at the court of inquiry indicates extenuating circumstatnces that have been overlooked for 100 years.
