Remembering a ' forgotten ' soldier : Gunner John Hutchinson Bayer (1892 - 1915) / Paul A Rosenzweig.
Abstract
In this article the author describes how on ANZAC day 2015 there will be fallen Australian soldiers who will have no one to lay a poppy on their tombstone due to the fact they have no descendents. One such soldier is Gunner John Hutchinson Bayer. To overcome this, the author suggests that participants in the Gallipoli Pilgrimage also remember and honour the unknown soldiers.
