Description
"One of Fifty Nine Thousand" narrative history of the life of Private Robert Bamford. It was written in the first person from the letters and recollections of friends by his nephew James Bamford. Covers the enlistment, training, leave and the 19th Battalion's period in the Somme from February to May (Robert's death) 1917.
