Description
Entry written for the Australian War Records Essay competition, entitled `The Raiding Days', accounting for a large scale raid carried out in the Houplines sector, Armentieres, by elements of the 37th and 38th Battalions AIF on 28 February 1917. Captain Peters was scout officer for `C' Company 38th Battalion. The essay won the Silver medal. Briefly annotated.
