Description
Typescript manuscript titled "Khaki and Gown" written by Lord Birdwood encompassing his life from his birth in India, education, posting to various Indian Army units, service in South Africa, return to India as Military Assistant to Lord Kitchener, command of ANZAC troops on Gallipoli, active service in France, visits to Australia and New Zealand in 1920 and eventual posting to India as Commander-in-Chief.
