51st Battalion the Far North Queensland Regiment
Description
Manuscript titled `A brief history of the 51st Battalion The Far North Queensland Regiment', describes evolution from formation in 1916 through to presentation of the Queen's and Regimental Colours in 1987. Lists battle honours and numbers of decorations awarded for both World Wars, various amalgamations with other units and reorganisations of the battalion (which was at different times both a militia and an AIF unit), and includes nominal roll of commanding officers, RSMs, and honorary colonels.
