Description

Bound and typed 171 page memoir titled 'Highly Irregular' written by Geoff Fraser. Author provides a summary of his pre-war life. Training for the 4th Independent company is detailed, as is early service in Timor. The author's experiences in re-training, hospital and preparation in Australia is detailed. The remainder of the Author's Second World War service on Tarakan and in the South West Pacific Area is described. The manuscript also details the author's experiences post-war, and then his experiences after re-enlisting for the Korean War. The experiences of the Author in Korea are detailed, including dealing with American and South-Korean forces, the battle of Kapyong, and the nature of life in winter on the front line. Finally the Author's post-war life is summarized, ending with his failure to re-enlist to serve in Vietnam.
