Manuscript consists of six chapters relating primarily to RAAF personalities of the Second World War. The Personalities presented are as follows: Squadron Leader John Francis Jackson DFC of no. 75 Squadron; Squadron Leader Peter St. George Turnbull DFC of no. 76 Squadron; Flight Lieutenant William Ellis Newton VC of No. 22 Squadron; Wing commander Richard C. Cresswell DFC of no. 77 Squadron; And Group Captain Herbert Clarence Plenty DFC and Bar. A final chapter examines the use of the story of W.E. Newton VC's death by allied propaganda writers.
