Description

Gun crew at drill on a 4.7 inch MK XIX mounting on the destroyer HMAS Bataan. As a round is prepared for ramming into the gun's breech two ratings wait ready to load a shell and cartridge case. Note the netting slung from the back of the gun to catch the ejected cartridge cases.
