A brass plaque commemorating Brigadier Sir Frederick Galleghan, former CO of the 2/30th Infantry battalion, who had commanded AIF prisoners of war (POWs) in Malaya during World War 2. The memorial plaque, featuring the 'Rising Sun' badge, is mounted on the wall of Changi Chapel. It reads: 'In memory of Brigadier Sir Frederick Galleghan DSO OBE ISO ED formerly Commanding Officer of 2/30 Battalion A.I.F. and Commander A.I.F. prisoners of war Malaya 1942-1945.
