THE ORIGINAL HEADSTONE OVER THE GRAVE OF 3347 SERGEANT (SGT) DAVID EMMETT COYNE, 31ST BATTALION, WHO DIED OF WOUNDS ON 1918-05-15 AND IS BURIED IN THE VIGNACOURT BRITISH CEMETERY NEAR AMIENS. SGT COYNE WAS POSTHUMOUSLY AWARDED THE ALBERT MEDAL IN GOLD, THE ONLY MEMBER OF THE 1ST AIF TO BE SO HONOURED. (DONOR M.A CONOCHIE)
