Three unidentified Australian soldiers pose with a captured Japanese 75mm Field Anti-Aircraft gun, Type 88. This gun was one of eight mobile anti-aircraft guns operated at Buna and Sanananda by the 47th Field Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion (known as Tora 8551 and Korea 73) and commanded since 1941 by Lieutenant Colonel Sadahide Fuchiyama. The 47th was the only heavy anti-aircraft battalion engaged at the beachhead, the guns defending the Buna airstrip were probably operated by a detachment from Number 2 Battery commanded by First Lieutenant Yukio Nakashima.
