DescriptionTwo bogged M113A1 armoured personnel carriers (APC) from A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps awaiting recovery. The lead vehicle has been fitted with a T50 steel turret (made by Cadillac Gage) which is armed with a .50 calibre M2 HB Browning heavy machine gun. Note the ammunition boxes fitted into a rack on the roof deck (left) and a number of personal items such as water bottles and body armour (right). The yellow shield shaped marking with the red kangaroo (right, above the spare track link) is the insignia of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF).
