Studio portrait of 3937 Private (later Corporal) Robert Webster, 3rd Battalion of Auburn, NSW. A carriage builder prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Medic (A7) on 30 December 1915. Initially reported missing, he was later declared killed in action, on 16 August 1916, at Pozieres, France, aged 22. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
