Lance Corporal Robert Bruce McMillan
Description
Robert Bruce McMillan service No. 2428 and his brother, Vivian Ernest McMillan service No. 2429 served alongside each other in the 18th Battalion. Bruce collected examples of colourful labels from their rations, forming an unusual record of their service which were sent home to their family attached to letters. Robert and Vivian were both killed in action on the Western Front. The labels are held in the Memorial's Souvenirs Collection 6/2/1.
