Description
Daily diary of Corporal Davies covering the period 11 April 1917 to 19 December 1917. Davies was taken prisoner by the Germans during the first battle of Bullecourt on 11 April 1917 and the diary discusses the first 9 months of his life as a POW. The diary contain detailed information on all aspects of camp life including the lack of food and facilities, and the treatment of the prisoners by the Germans. Davies' diary appears to have been written up after the war from notes he was able to keep whilst a prisoner.
