Papers of Rifleman Malcolm McCaskill (No. 19025), an Australian who served with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade. Includes discharge certificates, paper currency, and a letter written immediately prior to the attack at Messines on 7 June 1917, describing the intense artillery barrage, tension and excitement. McCaskill survived the war.
