Diary and autograph book of No. 3592 Private Charles Henry Gregor (7th Field Ambulance). The diary is dated September 1915-July 1916, covering Gregor's service on Gallipoli between 13 September and his evacuation on 12 December 1915. It describes his duties as a stretcher bearer and providing support (e.g. tent repair and water fatigues) to Casualty Clearance Stations, dressing stations and hospital posts, as well as his observations of fighting and significant developments (e.g. the battle of Lone Pine). Gregor was evacuated to Egypt, from where he returned to Australia because of illness in late 1916. The autograph book includes entries from fellows in Egypt, 1916; and was later used by the Gregor's daughter after the war.
