The personal diary kept by Caust throughout 1918 mainly relates to his impressions of Britain and France, especially service life with the 10th Battalion in France. The typescript, "Memoirs of Arnold Caust" (29 pages), describes Caust's Army career, from enlistment in 1915 to end of war in 1918, including active duty, training, hospitalisation and recreation leave in Egypt, England, Scotland and France.
