Mack, David Leonard (Private)
Description
Copy of a typed transcription of extracts from the diary of No. 7516 Private David Leonard Mack (25th Reinforcements, 10th Battalion) dated April 1918-April 1919. It particularly documents Mack's participation in front line fighting near the village of Borre (between Hazebrouck and Strazeele) in June 1918, from where he was evacuated sick. It comments on gas and artillery attacks. Also a copy of a note in which Mack ironically tenders his 'resignation'.
