Original personal diary written by 3691A Gunner Albert Andrews, while serving with 12th Field Artillery Brigade during 1916-1917 in the First World War; Andrews' pay book, covering November 1915 to February 1917; original typed transcript of same diary; manuscript, notebook and various notes comprising personal diary kept by Andrews during his service as an Ambulance Driver (TX4432) for Australian hospital units during the Malayan campaign of the Second World War, and as a Japanese Prisoner of War, 1942-1945, in Changi prison camp, Singapore.
