Sharman, Clifford Alfred Valentine (Private b.1893 - d.1979)
Description
Handwritten memoirs of Private C A V Sharman who served with the "D" Company, 26th Battalion, later in the 7th Machine Gun Company. Memoirs cover background to enlistment, voyage to Europe via Egypt and Lemnos, active service in various French areas of the Western Front, including Pozieres and work as a Medical orderly in the Australian Medical Corps and recreation leave in England.
