Brooke, Allen (Chaplain, b.1899 - d.1968)
Description
Two volumes containing a carbon copy of personal writings and diary entries (1940-1941) recorded by QX6366 Major General Allen Brooke of the 2/33 Battalion during the Second World War. Padre Brooke was Chaplain General of the United Churches during the Second World War, a position he still held post-war in 1962. Added to this collection in August 2016 are two items of ephemera relating to Brooke's First World War Service with the 2nd Australian Division Signal Company, a ration book and a handwritten field message.
