The papers comprise handwritten diaries, letters, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, photographs, leaflets and recipes, hand written sheet music, drawings, poetry and notes. The drawings depict camp buildings and various aspects of life in camp, such as a ration parade, sleeping arrangements and physical tasks required of the prisoners.

For ease of reading, a typed transcript of the original handwritten diairies kept by Betty Jeffrey, transcribed by Mr Rod Miller in 2010, was added to this collection in March 2014.
