Collection relating to 2610 Sergeant John Forrest, 32 Battalion, First World War. Collection comprises a fourteen-page letter written by Forrest to his father while convalescing from injuiries in Graylingwell War Hospital, Chichester England, January 1917. He describes joining 32 Battalion after the battles at Fromelles and Fleubair in 1916 and his involvement in a raid on enemy lines with 31 Battalion at Armentieres.
