Description

Collection relating to the First World War service of 3023 Private Thomas Alfred Burtt, 33rd Battalion AIF. Collection consists of two original diaries handwritten by Pte Burtt between August of 1914 to April of 1918; a typed transcript of both diaries; 2 studio photographic prints (copies), one of Thomas Burtt in uniform signed "Your affectionate cousin T.A. Burtt", the second of his fiance, Doris Fletcher; a letter written from Pte Burtt to his cousin Doris. Pte Burtt died of wounds on 3 April 1918 in France.
