Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 15690 Driver Leonard Andrew Bowkett, 10 Field Company Engineers, Australian Infantry Force. Collection consists of two handwritten diaries written between 1916 and 1918 and covers activities at the Western Front as well as the voyage over. Also in the collection is a bound and illustrated transcript of diaries entitled 'Written under fire'.
