Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 251 Private Francis (Frank) Reardon, 3rd Machine Gun Battalion, Australian Infantry Force. Collection consists of a well detailed letter written by Pte Reardon from Hurdcott England to his father in 1918 describing his Machine Gun Company and the work they do. The collection also includes 6 postcards written by Pte Reardon to his brothers Vince and Harold and his sister Rene showing and describing sights he has seen and asking about events back home. One postcard is a photograph of Pte Reardon with a group of other solider's taken in Hurdcott.
